In addition to providing a long-term stable home within a family environment to homeless and at-risk girls, Safe Haven Foundation offers Educational Bursary opportunities. These bursaries further empower the girls, helping them realize dreams that otherwise may never have been possible.

The Educational Bursary Program earmarks $20,000 per year in the anticipation of receiving submissions from the young people in Haven’s Way and Haven’s Harbour and Alumni who want to pursue post-secondary education.

This Safe Haven Foundation initiative was established in 2008 as part of our ongoing commitment to serving vulnerable young women in our community.

I cannot stress how much this scholarship has changed my life as a young lady. It has helped me mature so much more than I could have imagined. It has fed my ambition to further pursue my dreams (which there are many) and I plan to upgrade, attend Mount Royal University and then go to Edmonton for U of A’s Human Ecology program. – Haven’s Way Graduate
